Fun with Florals

Enough of this weather controlling what I wear… This week I embraced my inner Mulan and set off to create an outfit that is not only eye-catching but also suitable for most seasons! I went to the closet and turned to my trusty cropped black turtleneck.  I got this particular piece from Forever 21, but you can find one at most department stores. To add some “pop” I grabbed my mustard yellow romper from Topshop. Yes, I admit it, I was wearing a romper. All I had to do was tuck the top part in and ta da… they’re pants! This romper is just bright enough to light up the city without making me feel like a walking highlighter. And lastly, the beautiful kimono (which I had way too much fun taking pictures in) I’m wearing is from Urban Outfitters. I’ll be on spring break in warm weather the next few days so stay in tune for upcoming blog posts under the sun!

Oh So Basic

You know those lazy days when you just want to wear jeans and a t-shirt? Yeah me too, we all have them. So, I styled the “White t-shirt and Jeans” look in a more fashionable way. Here i’m wearing this adorable white choker shirt from American Apparel. I’m completely head over heels for chokers right now, so once I saw this shirt I knew I had to add it to the look. It’s simple, cute and goes with almost anything because its neutral color. The fabulous pins on my American Apparel jeans are from “Punky Pins” and “Heather Buchanan”. I never thought that wearing pins was a thing or even that pins cute enough to put on clothes existed, but after buying these, I can’t get enough of them! And lastly, my lavender shoes are by Urban Outfitters. Follow me on Instagram @thathopechic for notifications of my blog posts!

Lovin’ Leather

Leather, Fur, and Cashmere… All together in one outfit? I think yes! One of my favorite things to do when dressing is not just mixing and matching colors, but textures and fabrics. It adds dimension and originality to an all mono-fabric outfit. Its easy to either style the lovely dress I’m wearing from American Apparel up with heels, or down with boots. My black fur coat is from Stevie Mac- New York, but a similar one can be found from Revolve. And of course, my wildly colorful shoes are from Doc Martens, and as much as I love my blue boots dearly, I’m currently obsessing over their new pastel line (can someone please get me the pink ones?!) Stay tuned for my next “poppin'” outfit!

Xoxo… Gossip Girl

Hey readers! Its officially March, and while the weather is warming, I am still attending school for a few more weeks before spring break. But who says I can’t sport school in style? This outfit is inspired by the one and only Blair Waldorf. The fabulous dress I am wearing is by Alice and Olivia, and is soft and comfy like a sweater. My shoes are from Lulus, and the fur coat is from Topshop, but you can get a similar, inexpensive one from Asos. And lastly, my purse is from Rebecca Minkoff. More blog posts to come!
